She offered to feed plum (Ber) to Lord Ram, and she was pleased. To ensure that the plums were sweet, Shabari tasted all the plums one by one and fed only the sweet ones to Ram. The story of Shabari and Lord Ram is a unique tale of love and devotion which is still told everywhere even today.
