Rudri Dam is one of Chhattisgarh's earliest irrigation projects along the Mahanadi River. It is situated in the Dhamtari district of Chhattisgarh state. The barrage has been operational since 1915. In 1993, Rudri Barrage was replaced by Rudri Pick-up Weir. This barrage supplies drinking water to the capital city of Raipur in Chhattisgarh.

During the British colonial period in the country, a barrage was built on the Mahanadi River in Rudri, and the canal that emerged from it has now become the lifeline of four districts in the state. This provides irrigation facilities to crops on 655,000 acres of land and offers the residents of many cities and hundreds of villages in all four districts the convenience of drinking water and irrigation water.
